Nurse within the school staff

The tasks of the nurse within the school staff are
- Work with students with chronic disease conditions by implementing personalized health plans, such as school-based diabetes management,
- At the community level, a program is foreseen that includes interventions in the school environment with educational paths, for example management and overweight in schools.
- Ensure that all the guidelines of the municipality of the health authority are observed and respected.
- Provide first aid to all in the institution.
- Promote health and safety programs, including accident prevention, and management of the removal of architectural barriers for the disabled.
- Maintain confidentiality and quality patient care.
- Check accuracy of sick leave authorization forms and approve for payroll and audit purposes.
- Implement and maintain all health care administration, sick leave documentation, and medical records for all associates.
- Guarantee the absolute hygiene of the nursing office, that its equipment and tools used for medical care are disinfected and sterilized.
- Ensure occupational health card records for all employees are kept up to date.
- Refer patients to hospital if nursing diagnosis warrants.
- Purchase the appropriate amount of medical supplies from the corporate supplier and maintain all first aid kits so that they are adequately stocked.
